The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has arrested the final suspect wanted in this investigation.
On December 8, 2023, Marcel Blackburn (38) of Hagersville was arrested in Oakville. He has been charged with 68 Break and Enter related offences and one breach of probation charge.
Blackburn was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating a fire in a residential neighbourhood in Burlington.
On Monday December 4, 2023, at approximately 4:15 am, police were called to an address on Lodi Road in Burlington. This residential neighbourhood, located near the intersection of Dundas Street and Walkers Line in northeast Burlington, contains a mix of occupied homes as well as unoccupied homes that are currently under construction.

The man arrested for the 2021 murder of Krystyna and Andrzej Rerak has been sentenced to life imprisonment. Harrison Brown was charged by police with two counts of first-degree murder in 2021.
Brown entered a guilty plea to charges of first-degree murder in the death of Krystyna and second-degree murder in the death of Andrzej and appeared in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in Milton on Friday December 1, 2023.

Today, Thursday, November 30, the Halton Police Board signed on the dotted line to adopt Language Interpreting Services Application (LISA), a web-based video and audio app by Languages in Motion Ltd., that provides frontline officers 24/7 access to interpreters in over 200 languages, including American Sign Language.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has laid charges in connection with the recovery of 17 stolen vehicles.
Last month, and as part of an ongoing investigation, members of the Regional Auto Theft Task Force identified two suspects believed to be responsible for shipping stolen vehicles overseas. Over the course of the investigation, a number of stolen vehicles entered an industrial warehouse in Burlington and were later observed being loaded onto sea containers.
