Kevin Maher was sworn in as the Halton Regional Police Service's (HRPS) new Deputy Chief of Police at a ceremony at the Atrium Banquet and Conference Centre in Burlington on Thursday, April 25, 2024.

The formal swearing-in ceremony was attended by the Halton Police Board, MPs, MPPs,​ community leaders, faith leaders, local and regional councillors, HRPS Senior Commanders, and a number of uniformed and civilian members of the Service.

Police Seeks Public Assistance in Identifying Suspect that Committed an Indecent Act in Oakville

***UPDATE*** February 13, 2024

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has made an arrest and laid charges in relation to a sexual assault that occurred at Oakville Place mall.

On Monday, February 12, 2024, Paul Swanson (62) of Brampton was arrested. He has been charged with the following:

• Committing an Indecent Act;
• Sexual Assault (2 counts);
• Sexual Interference (2 counts);
• Failing to Comply with Probation.

HRPS Expands Lifesaving Naloxone Kit Distribution Program
