Today, Thursday, November 30, the Halton Police Board signed on the dotted line to adopt Language Interpreting Services Application (LISA), a web-based video and audio app by Languages in Motion Ltd., that provides frontline officers 24/7 access to interpreters in over 200 languages, including American Sign Language.

John Sting Targets Those Willing to Obtain Sex from Minors

From November 6 to November 8, 2023, members of the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) Human Trafficking Unit commenced Project Lonestar. This is the second phase of this proactive project, which has the goal of identifying and arresting offenders communicating to obtain sexual services from females under the age of 18.
During the investigation, several suspects arranged meetings for sexual services, despite being advised that they were communicating with a female who was only 15 years of age.
Three Arrested Following Commercial Break-in in Oakville

On November 6, 2023 at approximately 10:50 p.m., members of the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) responded to reports of three males wearing construction vests breaking into a commercial property located on Speers Road in Oakville.
Police were subsequently advised that the suspects had fled the scene in a dark-coloured pick-up truck that was pulling a trailer loaded with tools.

For the third consecutive year, Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is proud to launch our annual Kozy Kids initiative to help ensure underserved youth across the Halton Region are prepared for winter.

HRPS Schools Drivers in Rules of the Road with Project Safe Start

As students returned to school for the 2023 academic year, Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) revved up our online tips to educate drivers on the ABC’s of road safety – Always Be Cautious – and ramped up enforcement efforts in school and community safety zones.
A combined 1,947 charges were laid and 1,389 warnings were issued across the Region between August 28 and September 8 as part of the Service’s 16th Annual Project Safe Start campaign.
